Winding up 2021

I stayed close to home in October 2021 – December 2021 with performances in local venues that included a couple of premieres and memorable collaborations.

A short piece called Gewag was performed a couple of times by different combinations of performers as part of the Splendor Amsterdam Overalls project for composers and professional and amateur performers.

I was part of the Catalytic Sound Festival in the Bimhuis where I played with a whole crew of colleagues.

My composition Swift was premiered in the Orgelpark by MAZE in a concert of works that truly moved both the audience and the performers.

I was honored to be asked to perform with a few colleagues from the Sonology Department in the Schoenbergzaal in the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague on 7 December as one of the last concerts to be held in the old building before everyone and everything was moved to the new building, Amare . It was a closed event due to protocols.

I was also part of an international improvisation project with colleagues from Vancouver and the narrative voice for a film installation. These will have releases and premieres in 2022. I still don’t know when exactly.
