David and I walked into record stores in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Eugene, Portland, Seattle and Tacoma and asked them if they would be interested in buying or consigning our Modern Genetics Triple LP. 90% of the stores took one or two copies in addition to the three cities cassette that Phil Maguire and I released in March.
David is a natural salesman. I provided extra words and strong presence.
We loved driving through all those neighborhoods, telling people about the Modern Genetics project and listening to their stories. Record people are a breed in themselves. Lots of history there.
