I was invited to be part of a set with Antonina Nowacka for the Rewire festival this year where harpist Doriene Marselje and I were the support for her.
This appeared in the Volkskrant, a Dutch National paper:
In the darkness of the Nieuwe Kerk, harpist Doriene Marselje and flutist Anne
LaBerge accompanied Polish singer Antonina Nowacka, who improvised beautifully for half an hour. Her voice is soft as snow, her rapid vibrato playful. Marselje and LaBerge wove their chords and melodies around her in complete tranquility, but remain
in the background. Can’t Nowacka take a step back? Silence is also making music, especially when you improvise together.
It was a short and beautiful set.
