Phil Maguire and my partnership has included ongoing musical and video collaborations including concerts and releases in the Netherlands, United Kingdom and Ireland. We have continued our signature approach to detailed drones. This time we focused even more on the drone part.
These tracks were recorded at Splendor in Amsterdam in 2022 just after the pandemic at the first chance where we could be in the same place at the same time. The tracks were mixed at the Pauline Oliveros Sound Studio a couple of years later in Cork where Phil lives. Jim O’Rourke mastered it, taking out all the bumps and drops. It was released on Bandcamp 28 February 2025.
Most of our works are named after cities. We broke the rule this time to include one of our favorite hangs in Cork, Maureen’s bar, a place where time can drift and blur.
For this release we asked photographer and designer Isabelle Vigier to create a limited edition book. All the images were taken in the city of Cork. Surfaces, objects and places form a visual of the city that accompanies the spirit of our music.
